Have you ever looked over the edge of the cosmetics jar? Conventional skin care in particular is sometimes full of unpleasant surprises: microplastics, parabens, paraffins, silicones - the list of ingredients, some of which have fallen into disrepute, seems endless. Ingredients that you look for in vain in natural cosmetics. The problem: All this stuff not only ends up on your own skin when you use it, but also in the water cycle - and can not only pollute us, but also the environment. Which ingredients are we talking about exactly? Here some examples:
Tiny plastic particles in toothpaste, creams and Co.? Um, what for again? The up to 5mm small plastic particles are considered to be a great danger for humans and the environment. Because they not only get into your own body through use, but also into the wastewater and thus become an ecological disaster for marine animals and the water cycle. Natural cosmetics do not use plastic particles. And let's be honest - creaming with plastic sounds really unsexy.
According to studies, the petroleum-based paraffins, which you will not find in natural cosmetics, are extremely problematic for the environment during extraction and recycling and are increasingly classified as supposedly hazardous to health .
Parabens, which are often used as preservatives, are repeatedly suspected of having hormonal effects on the body. They are associated with diseases and phenomena such as infertility or diabetes.
Conventional hair care often uses silicone as a softener instead of the natural ingredients found in natural cosmetic products. This group of synthetic polymers is mostly derived from petroleum and is not biodegradable. When used in the hair, they form a seal over the hair and prevent care products from being absorbed - permanent stress and damage are the result.
Whether for shower gel or make-up: until recently, cruel animal testing was standard in the cosmetics industry . According to the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009, these have been banned without exception in the EU since 2013 - but there are still loopholes. Manufacturers are still drawn to markets like China, where animal testing is mandatory. An absolute no-go for natural cosmetics.
CARE FOR YOURSELF. AND NATURE.
And now for the good news: More and more people are switching to natural cosmetics for this very reason. Because natural cosmetics are not only good for people, but also for the environment and our water cycle. That is why we have been using nature-based ingredients for more than 10 years. The active ingredients contained in our formulations are 100% of natural origin according to ISO 16128. In addition, more than 90% of the purely vegetable ingredients contained in our care products, such as vegetable oils, extracts and butters, are from controlled organic cultivation. They are of course free of questionable ingredients such as silicones, parabens or mineral oil-based raw materials and are also biodegradable, which means that they do not leave any negative residues in nature. With the exception of our Lemon Honey care series (with organic acacia honey), all products are also vegan - and of course not tested on animals.
We rely on high-quality essences, oils and ingredients from nature. Free from parabens, silicones and artificial additives. Our natural cosmetic products are therefore 100% natural or of natural origin.
The ingredients we use are biodegradable, which means they decompose through natural processes and leave no negative residues in nature or in the water cycle.
As a natural cosmetics brand, animal testing is particularly important to us. All STOP THE WATER WHILE USING ME! Natural cosmetic products are 100% free from animal testing. #bevegan! In addition, our natural cosmetic products - with the exception of our Lemon Honey care series - are vegan.
